Hundreds of people are set to parade through the streets of Liverpool today as part of the Battle of the Atlantic commemorations.

Mr Cash also served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War and was at the Battle of the Atlantic; he was honoured by Princess Anne for his service at the British Royal Legion’s Festival of Remembrance in November.
One of the most important factors of the Battle of the Atlantic was logistics and, more pertinently, the ability of Britain to maintain vital supply routes through its North Atlantic shipping routes.
The march will start in Exchange Flags before making its way to Princes Parade where a group of Battle of the Atlantic veterans, now all in their 90s at least, will take the salute from the marching troops.
